Transforming Nursing Homes with Advanced Technology

MuSeRo1 is an integrated solution that combines service robots with AI-powered management software to support care delivery, optimize resources, and improve quality of life for residents and quality of work for the staff.

MuSeRo combines advanced technology with human centered design

🤖 Service Robots

Service-robots are autonomous vehicles designed for transport, entertainment, monitoring etc. in environments where they operate together with humans. Special care needs to be taken in nursing homes, where the residents often have impaired cognitive or physical skills.

The robots can easily be configured for various applications. For add-on, application specific devices can be added in combination of software configuration.

In the MuSero project PPM has designed special service robots that can operate inside nursing homes. Special functionality is designed on the safety, to ensure the high level of physical and perceived safety that is required when operating in nursing homes.

🧠 AI Management System

Our Intelligent software solution connects to the robots and optimizes workflows, prioritizes tasks, and ensures resources are deployed where they're needed most.

Our AI learns from patterns to anticipate needs and continuously improves care delivery.

Our user friendly applications are accessible for staff, residents, and families that make managing care simple and transparent. Designed with all users in mind, from tech-savvy staff to elderly residents with limited digital experience.

We combine Genetic Algorithms with Deep Learning to create a self-learning solution with fast and accurate resource planning and task allocation.

Benefits for everyone

🏥 Consistent Care Delivery

Robotic technology supports staff with selected routine tasks, helping to reduce the impact of staffing fluctuations and creating space for more person-centered care.

🦾 Physical Support

Get assistance with mobility and daily activities when needed.

🛡️ Safe operation in harmony with the elderly

In nursing homes, the elderly often have impaired cognitive or physical skills. In addition, they normally have brittle bone structure, which easily cause e.g. a heap fracture if they fall.

This, service-robot designed to operate in a normal environment like restaurants, cannot provide the level of safety, required in the nursing homes. Our service-robots have additional safety functions, ensuring an accident-free operation, even in a shared environment with elderly people.

Additionally, our service-robots also provide a new level of social interaction with elderly, which provides a natural bidirectional communication, and consequently, a high level of perceived safety.

For us, improving elderly care is our goal. That's why we offer service robots that offer the safety, comfort and harmony that the elderly deserve!

🧩 Cognitive Stimulation

Engage with interactive activities that keep the mind active and promote wellbeing.

💬 Social Connection

Stay connected with family and friends through technology that facilitates easy communication.

🔓 Greater independence

Assistive technologies can enable residents to perform more tasks on their own, promoting autonomy and dignity.

⏰ Shorter wait times for help

When robots handle certain tasks, staff may be more available for personal and relational care.

💪 Reduced Physical Strain

By relieving healthcare personnel of repetitive and physically demanding tasks, robotic technology can help reduce workload and support staff well-being in a high-pressure work environment.

Receive immediate alerts about residen requests through your mobile device, enabling faster response times.

😌 Lower Stress Levels

Experience reduced workplace stress with balanced workloads and intelligent resource allocation that prevents overwhelm.

❤️ More Meaningful Interactions

Focus on the human aspects of care that matter most to you and your residents rather than routine tasks and administration.

⚖️ Staffing Optimization

Deploy human resources strategically by assigning routine tasks to robots and focusing skilled staff on complex care needs.

🔄 Reduced Turnover

Cut costly staff turnover through improved working conditions and reduced caregiver burnout.

⭐ Enhanced Care Quality

Deliver consistently high-quality care that improves health outcomes, resident satisfaction, and facility reputation.

🏆 Competitive Advantage

Differentiate your facility in a crowded marketplace with cutting-edge technology that attracts residents and staff.

📊 Data-driven Decision Making

Access advanced analytics and operational insights that support more effective resource allocation and planning.

💰 Cost Containment

Reduce overtime costs by optimizing resource utilization

📈 Scalable Operations

Easier adaption to changing demands and facility growth without proportional increases in staffing costs.

Why it matters

The Crisis in Elderly Care

Today's elderly care facilities face unprecedented challenges that require innovative solutions.

99%
Staffing Shortages
Of nursing homes report severe staffing gaps, compromising care quality.
48%
Demand Increase
Projected increase in need for nursing assistants by 2035.
1M+
New Jobs Needed
Additional direct care workers needed by 2031 to meet growing demand.

The care crisis is not just about numbers. Behind these statistics are real challenges:

  • Caregiver burnout leading to high turnover and reduced quality of care
  • Rising costs putting financial pressure on facilities, residents, and families
  • Complex care coordination becoming increasingly difficult with limited resources
  • Growing demographic pressure as populations age globally
  • Housing adaptations needed for aging-in-place are costly and difficult to implement

These challenges require a revolutionary approach to care delivery that leverages technology while preserving the essential human touch.

Implementation Journey

Our phased approach ensures a smooth transition to enhanced care delivery.

1

Assessment

We begin with a comprehensive evaluation of your facility's unique needs, challenges, and opportunities. This includes staffing analysis, care process mapping, and identification of priority areas.

2

Customization

We tailor our solution to your specific environment, integrating with existing systems and adapting robots and software to your care model and physical space.

3

Training

We provide thorough training for all stakeholders, ensuring staff, residents, and families are comfortable with the new technology. Our specialized curriculum uses hands-on practice and simulation.

4

Deployment

We introduce robots and software gradually, starting with areas of greatest need. This phased approach allows for adjustment and ensures minimal disruption to ongoing care.

5

Optimization

Based on usage data and feedback, we continually refine the system to maximize benefits. This process ensures the solution evolves with your facility's changing needs.

6

Expansion

Once the core system is operating smoothly, we can add additional capabilities and features to further enhance care delivery and operational efficiency.
